You can't get lost on a straight Road

You can't get lost on a straight road
By Jimmy Crowley
You're only 500 miles away
How does it feel to be so far?
From the friends who wished you could stay
The past Six months
Have meant more than you can think
It's so much more
Than I can write in ink

We Couldn't Slow Down Time
I couldn't pretend like you were mine
Together we could lie
and pretend like we could fly

Come Back in a year or two
cause we'll all miss you so much
And we'll want to see you soon
No one can see
What's so great about Ohio anyway?
Your friend in New York
Never wanted you to go away

We Couldn't Slow Down Time
I couldn't pretend like you were mine
Together we could lie
and pretend like we could fly

We could sleep in my car
in my dreams we go far
We'll set this city a-fire tonight
And stare into the light
Watch the Fire turning blue
It's Almost as beautiful as you

We Couldn't Slow Down Time
I couldn't pretend like you were mine
Together we could lie
and pretend like we could fly
